The Battlefly Band is a country pop and R&B band formed in 2010. The band has consisted of high school teenagers, lead vocalist and guitarist Kelvin Tan, lead guitarist Raymond Lee, Pianist Philip Tey, backing vocalist Kenny Ting, and drummer Eddie J.The band is specially to do a performance on special occasions,eg: Teacher's Day, Farewell Ceremony, and more.

The band's music is totally fresh and new. The songs they played is all remixes they composed themselves, from original to something fabulous which anyone could not possibly think of it. They are also some songs written by the lead vocalist and guitarist Kelvin Tan.

Kelvin Tan is the lead vocalist and guitarists of the band. He knew piano, guitar, and vocals. He is a student and a songwriter for the band. Furthermore, he's also one of 'The Tritan', his family singing group formed in 2008 and joined by his brother and sister. Because of their surnames are all 'Tan', so they called themselves The Tritan.

''The Tritan is a family. We all have different voices with their personal unique style and we sing in the car every time when we're going on a vacation. It's like if we're on tour! It's the best moment ever. And I hope it's going to be the same for The Battlefly Band. I just want it to be happy.'' Kelvin added.

The lead guitarist Raymond Lee, is a student and he knew instruments like piano and guitar. The band's pianist, Philip Tey is a student and a piano sight-reading maniac who is now preparing for his piano grade 8 practical exam. Raymond and Philip both are the school's pianists.

Eddie J., the band's drummer is also a student and a music lover. He can play the guitar and drum kits.

'We go through tough battles before the fly, that is now' as the slogan of The Battlefly Band, bringing the meaning that we're now heading for our dreams, our future, no matter it is music or not, we must first face the battles, that is now. Kelvin wrote a song specially for the band, 'Battle to Fly (The Band's Theme)', It is an unfinished song. This song is a duet by Kelvin Tan and his brother from The BattleflyTritan, Kelson. Bringing the meanings of the band's slogan.
